M.A. (English Language Teaching)

 

2-Year Program
Thesis or Thematic Paper Option

Program will be able to:

1. demonstrate initiative, creativity, open – mindedness, responsibility, and commitment to ethical and codes of conducts;
2. demonstrate knowledge about development and contemporary theory, direction, and practice that involve English language learning and teaching especially in the multilingual language classroom;
3. critically apply their knowledge and skills in practical contexts, especially within Thailand and the region;
4. engage in critical thinking and problem solving in their professional fields;
5. communicate effectively in written and spoken English when engaging in discussion, seminars and other professional fields;
6. use statistical and computer skills in framing and discussing research issues and solving research problem.

 

Admission Requirements

 

Admission to the program is granted to applicants with:

1. Bachelor’s degree in any field from the institutions accredited by the Ministry of Education, Thailand
2. GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
3. TOEFL score of at least 575 (P) or 90 (iBT) or IELTS score of at least 6.5 or pass the English Proficiency Examination of the Assumption University

 

Entrance Requirements
  • A completed application form
  • Official transcript from the previous university attended (2 copies)
  • Bachelor degree certificate (2 copies)
  • Citizen identification card and residence registration (2 copies) - for Thai applicants
  • Passport (2 copies) - for Non-Thai applicants
  • Six (1x1.5 inch size) photographs
  • Letter of recommendation from former instructors or employers at the time of the application (3 letters)

 

Note : All documents must be endorsed with signature and submitted in person within the last day application period, otherwise the application will not be considered and the applicant will not be allowed to sit for the Admission interview.

  • Thursday (18.30 - 21.30 hrs)
    Friday (18:30 – 21:30 hrs)
    Saturday and Sunday (09:00 a.m to 17:00 hrs)
