What it costs, end to end, in rupees.
Only tuition is an official figure — it comes from the university's published fee schedule. Everything else on this page is an estimate, and you set it. Move each bar until it matches the life you would actually live; the rupee total updates as you go.
On a twinning route, set this to the time actually spent in Bangkok.

Scholarships, loans and moving the money.
- Scholarships
Assessed case by case, through the department
Send the India Office your programme of interest, academic record and background. We take it to the relevant department, and where a concession or scholarship applies, we put the offer to you in writing. There is no application fee for this and no obligation attached to asking. Register your interest →
- Internships
Paid internships, arranged for Indian students
The Graduate School has confirmed a special arrangement under which paid internships are available to Indian students. Placements still depend on the department and the programme, so ask about yours before you factor earnings into a budget. Careers & internships →
- Twinning
A cheaper route, if your college has an arrangement
Doing one or two semesters in India before moving to Bangkok cuts both tuition and living costs while still ending in an Assumption degree. Worth checking before you budget for the full programme abroad. How twinning works →
- LRS
Remittances run under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme
Education remittances through an authorised dealer are subject to TCS rules that differ for loan-funded and self-funded transfers. Confirm the current threshold and rate with your bank in the same week you transfer — these change in Union Budgets. Your bank will confirm the current position.
- Loans
Education loans for overseas study
Indian lenders finance overseas master's degrees, generally against collateral above a threshold. You will need the admission letter and a fee schedule on letterhead — both of which the India Office provides. Ask us which lenders have financed our students before.
- Banking
Opening a Thai bank account
Students generally open a local account after arrival using a passport, the ED visa and a university letter. Until then, budget for an international card and its foreign-transaction fees.
